Just last weekend I returned from a three-day trip to Montreal, Canada. I was there to visit Louis Desjardins of Kronos, creator of the extraordinary Discovery Turntable system. This included three days of hearing his new Discovery RS Tonearm, which was the final piece of the Kronos package. Also attending was Bill Parish of GTT Audio, distributor of Kronos. I've known both Louis and Bill for years, and enjoy them immensely as true audiobuds who share my deep passion for the audio arts and music. What could be better?!
I'll be writing up my notes in a photo essay that I'll be publishing shortly. Meanwhile, here's the YouTube video of a conversation that Bill produced for GTT Audio that lets you listen to our conversation about the Kronos Discovery system. Additionally, I have some meditations about high-end audio journalism, and the destructive effects of the chronic overuse of hyperbolic terminology to describe audio designs/components.
We had a delightful conversation. You are welcome to watch.
