The first weekend in March saw a substantial press event hosted by GTT Audio & Video, of Long Valley, NJ. The focus of that event was the highlighting of their status having taken over as the new US Importer of Vivid Audio.
Over a week, journalists from across the US attended and were treated to listening to a widely diverse range of Vivid loudspeakers models, ranging from the Kaya K25 at $11,000 a pair, up to the remarkable flagship, the Giya G1 Spirit, at $95,000 a pair.
I was privileged to be invited to attend, and over three days was permitted to hear six different models from Vivid’s current lineup and got to spend some serious time with the flagship model, the Giya G1 Spirit. Even though I reviewed this loudspeaker shortly after it was launched for The Absolute Sound in the summer of 2018, the experience here was significantly different. This is my recounting of my time there for the event.
