3/23/15 Bryston has announced the introduction of new BIT (Bryston Isolation Transformer) models to serve larger applications. The new 45 and 60-Amp models feature a 220/240-volt input with a 120-volt output and are available with or without AVR technology (Automatic Voltage Regulation). In addition to these new models, all BIT products will now be available with standard rack-mount faceplates, making them ideally suited for larger residential and commercial installations.

The Bryston BIT product lineup was developed to address the need for an AC power device that accomplished three key objectives; power line conditioning, isolation and non-MOV-based protection. BIT products are ultra-duty power products that don't restrict the performance of even the largest audio amplifiers. Existing models include 5, 15 and 20-amp versions, now available with either 17-inch standard faceplates or 19-inch rack-mount faceplates.

"Bryston BIT products were developed to improve the performance of an entire entertainment system," stated Bryston VP James Tanner. "BIT products deliver the current stability and low impedance that is ideal for most amplifier designs while providing the total isolation and lower noise floor that is paramount to optimizing audio and video playback," Tanner added.

MSRP prices:

BIT-45 $5900

BIT-60 $6450

BIT-45 AVR $8300

BIT-60 AVR $8900

Bryston's new BIT products are available for order immediately through Bryston authorized dealers, shipping May, 2015.

3/23/15 In good and long-term tradition the Cessaro GmbH out of Hessian Nidda will participate with their brand Cessaro Horn Acoustics in this year's High End fair in Munich.

The High End 2015 fair takes place from 14th May 2015 to 17th May 2015 at MOC Munich. Cessaro Horn Acoustics will present their products to audiophile enthusiasts at the Atrium4/1st upper floor, Room F117.

An absolute world premiere will be the official introduction of our new BETA-II F-4: A semiactive 4-Way-Horn-System with the high efficiency that is typical for Cessaro Horn Acoustics and a "real" frontloaded bass-horn.

Beta II F-4

In the development of the BETA-II F-4 special attention was given to the newly developed basshorns.

The dimensions quickly make clear, that Cessaro GmbH has implemented the production without any compromises: With a total width of 410cm, a depth of 140cm and a height of 82cm you can conclude from the looks, in which league the BETA-II F-4 plays when it comes to sound.

The uncompromised development and production of the BETA-II F-4 results in an uncompromised and breathtaking sound as well. Given an appropriate adaption in the room we are able to produce a cut-off frequency at approx. 30Hz.

This exorbitant power will be achieved in this process without any equalisation. The operating expenses that were made developing and producing the BETA-II F-4 the audiophile listener is rewarded by an absolute seamless integration of all low-frequency pulses. In this way bass will be no longer perceived as an inert and slow lower frequency. For the first time, you can hear instruments details located in the last two lower octaves and better differentiate them acoustically.

All Cessaro Horn Acoustics models of the 2nd generation – of course also the BETA-II F-4 – come with the newly developed Cessaro Composite-Horns.

The Cessaro Composite-Horns are based on an extremly expensive 2-Shell-Construction with a special polymere-rubber-filling. This 2-Shell-Fiber-Construction is handmade. Drivers are adapted by an CNC-drilled, two-parted and 25mm strong Aluminium-Flange. This extreme expense in production rewards the listener with an again significantly increased resonance freedom compared to previous constructions.

The processing quality of the Cessaro Composite-Horns is also apparent with reference to the resulting weight class. With approx. 73kg for the Medium-Horn and the TAD-Alnico-Driver with Beryllium-Diaphragm and approx. 120kg for the Low-Mid-Horn the Cessaro Composite-Horns are not only sonic heavyweights.

As a coronation of the optical appearance the Cessaro GmbH will present their new horn-system BETA-II F-4 in a highly polished version.

NEWS RELEASE 4/3/15

Cary Audio has long been synonymous with the world's best sounding audio components. No matter vacuum tube or solid state, analog or digital, two-channel or multi-channel, Cary Audio has always represented the pinnacle of performance. The new DAC-200ts is no exception and represents our best digital product yet!

The DAC-200ts digital to analog converter is the pinnacle in digital AND analog circuit topology. Packed with features like TruBit™ upsampling, the DAC-200ts utilizes a 128 bit DSP engine that expands native bit depths to 32 bits and upsamples incoming rates to 1 of 7 selectable sample rates, up to 768 kHz! Whether a signal is upsampled or left native, the signal is clocked several times with our OSO™ reclocking, then sent to 4 independent DACs for 8 channels of processing. Why do we go to such lengths when our competitors use one or maybe two DACs? Because using multiple parallel DACs ensures that the process of converting a true balanced or single ended digital signal will retain all the musicality stored within while transitioning it to a pure analog signal that sounds like analog! Even more important than the digital topology is the analog circuit. Once we've ensured the best possible, most pure, conversion of the digital information to an analog signal it is introduced to our analog circuit. Drawing on our years of experience in designing some of the world's best analog circuits, the analog section of the DAC-200ts is nothing short of amazing. Our Dual Independent Output (DiO™) analog topology utilizes a separate solid state output stage and a separate vacuum tube output stage. Not to be confused with a hybrid design where a circuit always has the same sound characteristic, the separate independent analog output stages allow you to tailor the sound of the DAC-200ts to your source material with the simple touch of one button. As we know, source material varies greatly in terms of its recording quality. Having the ability to enhance the sound characteristics of the DAC-200ts to match your source material means maximum flexibility for maximum sonic benefit. Not only is the DAC-200ts a reference level digital source unit; it can also be used as a digital preamplifier using its 3.0 volt variable volume output. What's more, a clock input allows for the use of an external master clock, or using the clock output allows the DAC-200ts to function as a master clock for other digital sources capable of a master clock input.

The DAC-200ts supports super high resolution Asynchronous USB computer audio. That means PCM up to 32 bit/ 384 kHz as well as native DSD 64, 128, and 256 audio. Additionally, the DAC-200ts includes; CSR aptX® lossless Bluetooth, SPDIF coaxial and Toslink inputs, AES/EBU input and both fully balanced XLR and RCA outputs. Large VFD display, full function remote control, and Ethernet and Wi-Fi for control systems are also included.

Weight: 28 lbs.

Dimensions: 3.75" H x 17.25" W x 16.25 " D
DAC-200ts Retail Price: $3,995

The DAC-200ts will begin shipping on April 9, 2015.
