Well Pleased AV, a standout room at the show. Featuring Vinnie Rossi, Innuos, and QLN.
QLN Prestige Three SE loudspeakers.
Vinnie Rossi integrated, and Innuos music server.
Vinnie Rossi L2i-SE integrated amplifier.
Vinnie Rossi. Very accommodating, he handed me the iPad and told me to play whatever I wished!
And so, I browsed a bit and found a Soft Moon song I really like, "Alive." from the Total Decay EP. It sounded really good, and produced the expected goosebumps.
One of the things that makes the Well Pleased AV rooms sound so remarkable is Mark Sossa, pictured here with David Cope of Old Forge. Mark works hard to bring magic the room, aided this time by Vinnie I'm sure. This was a room we visited more than once.
Fantastic sound in this room: Mactone, Trenner & Friedl, Clearaudio, In Living Stereo. This was another room we visited more than once.
Clearaudio turntable. This room was all analog.
Sound United, Classé Audio, Magico Loudspeakers and Amplification.
Rega, Bryston, Fyne Audio, Kii Audio, The Chord Company cables, ProAc.
Peter Noerbaek of PBN Audio and his companion, demonstrating how proper journalists take notes at audio shows while I scroll on my phone.
Myles Astor and me.
Haniwa Audio.
SweetVinyl, SugarCube. When we are in rooms, the last thing we want to do is interrupt the flow. This is why we don't use flash for the photographs, or ask exhibitors to stop their presentations just so we can take pictures. This room sounded good, we let them carry on without stopping for us.
Gated HiFi Distribution, Ansuz Acoustics, Kudos Audio, Naim Audio.
Dana Mueller with Gated HiFi, a woman-owned business. It was a pleasure spending time talking with her.
